Prescription medication taken before your appointment for a calm, relaxed state throughout the procedure.
IV Sedation
Deeper sedation administered intravenously for longer or more complex procedures. You'll have little to no memory of the procedure.
Local Anesthesia
Precise numbing of the treatment area. Always used in combination with other sedation methods.
Common Questions
Will I be completely asleep?
With IV sedation, you'll be in a deep twilight state — technically conscious but deeply relaxed with little to no memory of the procedure. General anesthesia (fully asleep) is available for complex cases.
Is sedation safe?
Yes. Your vital signs are continuously monitored throughout the procedure. Dr. Weisenberg is trained in advanced sedation techniques and emergency protocols.
Can I drive home after sedation?
No. You'll need a responsible adult to drive you home after oral or IV sedation. Plan to rest for the remainder of the day.
